This ordinance is currently being thoroughly reviewed to include comprehensive guidelines to protect the health, safety and welfare of the Township.

WATERFRONT OVERLAY DISTRICT contains all land located within five hundred (500) feet of the ordinary high-water mark of Hamlin Lake and its bayous, Lincoln Lake and the Lincoln River. A Site Plan Review is required before a Hamlin Township Zoning permit can be issued for any of the following uses or buildings (including additions or extensions to these uses or buildings):

A. New or expanded commercial establishment.
B. Any new or expanded industrial establishment.
C. Multiple Family Residential Dwellings.
D. For all development, including single-family residential development, a site plan must show existing natural features such as trees, wetlands, existing vegetation, steep slopes, the ordinary high water mark (if applicable), the placement of proposed structures, grading limits, existing structures on the proposed property and abutting parcels and low impart development stormwater controls proposed to be used on this site.
